Our NeXt Concert
Getting a Handle on Handel

January 4, 7:30pm
January 5, 3pm
Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas

La Follia performs music of George Frideric Handel.

In this concert, we follow Handel from a precocious upstart in Hamburg, to his musical awakening while in Rome, to his triumphant arrival as a celebrated master in London.

Featured are Gitanjali Mathur, soprano, and Steven Brennfleck, tenor. They are joined by a fourteen-piece Baroque orchestra led by concertmaster and 2019 Austin Critics Table award winner Stephen Redfield.

KMFA Classical 89.5 will provide commentary during the concert.
